VENICE—Fresh air, fresh art, and fresh candy abound as you celebrate community and art at the year's first Venice Art Crawl with the group show Art & Candy at the super sexy, private residential loft, Winston House (1285 Electric Avenue). Cool LA artists Constance Brantley, Priscilla White, Flavio Kampah Campagna, Matt Warren (who has a Lohan art category on his website), and Aldo Chacon will all be showing, and you can take in the vibes while swaying imperceptibly (be free for once, maybe?) to live music and enjoying all the candy you can stomach. The event is scheduled for this Thursday from 6-10pm, and admission is $25, with tickets available online here.

BEVERLY GROVE—Elegant perfumery and gallery Eric Buterbaugh (8271 Beverly Boulevard) unveils the opening of Encounter, the newest show from artist Robert Lobetta. Lobetta started off as a hairdresser in London during the '70s, and he brings his inimitable style and offbeat eye to spectacular photos and other works. The tranquil space is hosting a reception to celebrate the exhibit this Thursday from 6-9pm, and the show itself is scheduled to run until May 8th, with regular hours of 11am-6pm daily, 12-5pm on Sundays.
