MakersKit's New Melrose Flagship Is a DIY Lover's Dream

Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to Vox.com, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.

If you're looking for a new place to add to our local crafty shops roster, meet MakersKit. Following last year's pop-up at Westfield Fashion Square, celebrated startup has finally launched a permanent space on Melrose Avenue.

The debut flagship store offers walk-in DIY workshops starting at just $10 (guests can learn how to make everything from terrariums to gemstone soaps), as well as the company's popular take-home crafts kits for $8 a pop.

MakersKit is open Monday through Sunday from 11am to 8pm.
