Several things have to come together perfectly for a flawless wedding; you'll need to book the ideal venue, snag a fabulous photographer, find the right planner, collaborate on a killer registry, and fall in love with a dress that makes you feel like the wedding is your event, regardless of everything else going on. Wedding shows and expos are an awesome way to do a lot of this at once, helping you get to know all the key players you might want to include on the big day, but most are geared toward the so-called classic European wedding with the poofy white dress.

The Wedding Show for the Modern Bride aims to bring luxury wedding wares and services to LA brides-to-be, and will feature a huge variety of specialty wedding professionals to help with everything, including bridging the gap for brides from diverse backgrounds who want to incorporate their own cultural traditions into their wedding. Tear yourself away from the cake samples to take in two exclusive fashion shows from celeb-favorite designers David Meister and Sareh Nouri.

This is the first wedding expo to take place at the Ritz-Carlton LA Live, and the one-day event is scheduled for this Sunday, February 21st from 4-8pm. Tickets are available for $25 online here or $40 at the door, and every attendee will receive an exclusive gift bag.
