Listen up, Eastsiders: you're one step closer to that #PilatesBody now that Fitmix Studio has officially opened a second location in Atwater Village. The spanking new gym features nine custom Reformers (a quintessential piece of pilates equipment for those who don't speak the lingo) and nine Precor treadmills to offer their two signature classes: the 55-minute Endurance Pilates, and "The Mashup," which splits time between interval training on the treadmill and body-sculpting moves on the Reformer.
The studio prides itself on being intimidation-free, and further encourages newbies to drop in by offering the first class for just $10. If you dig it, take advantage of the new client special: a month unlimited for $179. Weekday classes start as early as 6am and go as late as 8:30pm—both perf for the 9-5 crowd—and on Saturday and Sunday you can workout between 8am and 1pm.
