Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to Vox.com, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.
BEVERLY GROVE—You won't need an invite to enjoy a front row seat at Coach's NYFW show tomorrow at 4pm ET, thanks to the brand's collaborative livestream with Google Cardboard. Download the Coach app or jump on the website from your desktop and catch the full show using 360-degree technology. Want to up the ante? Head to The Grove (189 The Grove Drive) and pick up a pair of Google Cardboard viewers at the Coach store to give you a direct experience of the show (OC fans can stop at the Coach store in South Coast Plaza). You'll be able to get a closer look at the collection as it comes down the runway, and you can take a second glace at what's going on in the front row. Viewers can also shop a special bag style that will only be available on the website. Seriously, this is the next best thing to actually being at the show.
MARINA DEL REY—Even morning people can agree that the worst part of waking up is the trill of an obnoxious alarm clock. Rewrite your routine with the new Yoga Wake Up app from innovative, wellness-minded design and development team, Kamala Collective. You'll be able to choose from a variety of 10-minute programs created by some of LA's top yoga instructors, intended to gradually wake you up with easy-does-it poses and chill music. Celebrate the app's launch at Equinox (13455 Maxella Avenue) with a yoga session led by Jen Smith, followed by treats and juice from Culver City-fave Renew Juicery, yummy Elemental Superfood bars, Smári Icelandic yogurt, and swag bags for anyone who leaves a review on the iTunes App Store. Join the party on Thursday from 4-5:30pm, and send an RSVP to RSVP@KamalaCollective.com. For those able to keep on celebrating after the class, there will be complimentary drinks at Gravlax (12400 W Washington Boulevard).
