Set Decorator Laura Taylor is a Squaresville Devotee

Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to Vox.com, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.

It's almost criminal that you typically find Laura Taylor on the backside of a camera. But since the stunning set decorator and photographer is so damned talented in her work, we'll excuse it. That said, her clear-eyed, willowy beauty and slightly edgy style make her an ideal Style Crush. So we asked Southern belle with surprising tomboy tendencies (she grew up "chasing critters and catching fireflies in mason jars" in Georgia) to give us the 411 on where she loves to thrift in the city, the crucial garment that she's always on the hunt for, and the dude she's crushing on in more ways than one.

Tell us about your outfit:

The lacy crop top is vintage from Squaresville and my new favorite thing, trousers are vintage and were a major score at $3 from Savers thrift store in Torrance, black suede booties are Sam Edelman and backpack is also vintage from Squaresville.

What LA boutique is your happy place?

Squaresville, forever and ever. They have such a stellar selection of vintage and designer, and are so reasonably priced for LA. Also, Reformation.

What fashion item are you obsessed with buying right now?

High waisted jeans...it's a problem. I never seem to feel like I've found "the perfect pair." Someone help me.

What are you currently on the hunt for?

A simple necklace for everyday wear.

Who's your style crush?

My boyfriend Johnny. I love his style, and try to subtly steal some of his moves.
