Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to Vox.com, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.

Take a trip down to the OC on Friday to be among the very first shoppers to enjoy Sam Edelman's latest SoCal outpost, joining the flagship Beverly Hills location and another store in Santa Clara. A new address in the largest mall on the West Coast calls for an impressive home, and with 2,000 square feet at their disposal, the iconic designer is poised to showcase a jaw-dropping retail space.

Developed by juggernaut design firm Architecture Plus Information (responsible for dreaming up stores and offices for Vince, Vera Wang, and Carolina Herrera), you can expect a luxe mixture of reclaimed wood with rose-colored brass, as well as vintage furniture pieces curated by Sam Edelman himself. Says the designer and founder, "South Coast Plaza is one of California's top shopping destinations and the perfect home for our newest west coast retail location." Expect the full Sam Edelman lifestyle assortment (comprised of apparel, handbags, and jewelry) alongside the current footwear collection. You probably need this. And these. Definitely these. Just get there.
