Ten LA-Made Coats and Jackets for Mild Winter Weather

Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to Vox.com, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.

We may never know the true meaning of winter, but that doesn't mean you won't catch us Angelenos complaining about the chill from time to time. There probably won't be too many chances in a given year to break out your floor-length faux-fur or down-filled coats, but you will need to keep your bare bits covered (we're still rocking crop tops and minis through the season) during these cooler temps, so we've taken the liberty of finding you a few LA-friendly outerwear options by local labels.

Whether it be a baby-soft eggplant lambskin number or a leopard print driving coat, these out layers will offer you just enough warmth without compromising any coolness.
