Fur Coats, Slip Dresses Were Big at Last Night's Nasty Gal and Courtney Love Party

Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to Vox.com, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.

All the girls (and boys) had the most cake at last night's Nasty Gal x Courtney Love launch bash. Held at the e-tailer's Melrose Avenue shop, the throwback soirée featured oversized gâteau slices, mini tiaras as party favors, and a crowd full of Courtney and Kurt clones.

After admiring the on-point Kinderwhore style and experiencing serious '90s feels (bedhead locks! faux leopard fur coats! sexy slip dresses!), the major meta nostalgia continued when Best Coast frontwoman Bethany Cosentino performed two Hole songs before the grunge guitar goddess herself. Before her solo set, the singer told the audience that she accepted the gig "because who says no to Nasty Gal and Courtney?"

Available in-store and online as of today (note that web pricing is slightly higher), the 18-piece range is heavy on the lace, satin, and babydoll hemlines. See more looks from inside last night's bash in the gallery above and the Insta snaps below, and swing by the Melrose boutique today from 5 to 8pm when the #GirlBoss and #GrungeGuitarGoddess themselves will be in the house to toast the capsule with shoppers.
