FASHION DISTRICT—Quarterly lifestyle mag Undo-Ordinary is celebrating its brand new issue with a launch party at The Ace (929 S Broadway) this Thursday night. Run by the NYC-based fitness pop-up of the same name, the publication has focused its most recent effort around a theme of nature and body, and features top contributors in fields like fashion, beauty, and health. The festivities start at 8:30pm in the hotel's Upstairs Lounge, and are fully free and open to the public—as long as you're of drinking age, that is. The bar will be creating its usual tasty concoctions and J*Davey and friends will be providing the playlist.

FAIRFAX—If one of your resolutions was to update your beauty routine, you're in luck. This Friday and Saturday Nordstrom is offering you the perfect excuse to overhaul your medicine cabinet. Head to the department store's location at The Grove (189 The Grover Drive) and make a beeline for the cosmetics counters for the Winter Beauty Event, where pros from brands like Charlotte Tilbury and La Mer will advise shoppers on the perfect new products to try. Additionally, those who spend $125 or more will score a cute, travel-ready cosmetics bag (while supplies last). Take advantage of this deal between 11am and 7pm both days.
