Australia's LA love affair lives on. Following We Are Handsome's permanent move here and BNKR's Robertson pop-up, Sydney-based Bassike has select our city for its very first US boutique. Set to open this month, directors Deborah Sams and Mary Lou Ryan scored 1918 Lincoln Boulevard in Venice for the sustainable fashion label's debut digs. (Rendering below.)
"The Venice community cultivates a really great blend of surf, skate, art, fashion, food, and well-being, and as somewhat of a lifestyle brand, Bassike sits really comfortably in this type of environment," explains Sams.
Launch in 2006 with its bestselling organic cotton jersey, Bassike has since expanded to full-range collections for men, women, and kids, which include voluminous pants, popover hoodies, essentials tees, and much more. Prices range from $100 to $500 for adults and $50 to $80 for kids.
