FASHION DISTRICT—LA-based lifestyle mag Issue strives to highlight and connect local creatives and showcase our city as the cultural hub we know it to be. For its September issue, the magazine includes features on singer/songwriter Chelsea Wolfe and actress Imogen Poots, as well as a cool fashion editorial among other things to explore. Get your hands on a copy Tuesday night when the Issue crew holds a release party at The Ace Hotel (929 S Broadway). Head to the hotel's Upstairs lounge at 6pm to mingle with cocktails and some of the city's up-and-coming influencers.
VENICE—You probably already know about Toms' "One-for-One" program in which the shoe/accessories brand uses a portion of proceeds to benefit those in need, but have you heard of Bloom 2 Bloom, a floral delivery service that donates a percentage of their sales to a number of charities including Wish Upon A Teen and Girls Inc? This Wednesday the two charitable companies partner up for a crafty event at Toms Roasting Company (1344 Abbot Kinney Boulevard). Starting at 6:30pm, guests will be guided through building a bouquet of pretty blooms. There is no cost to participate and attendees will get to go home with their custom creation.
