Tuesday Bassen Trunk Show in Silver Lake; New Age Market in the Arts District

We round up the week's coolest events so you don't have to.

Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to Vox.com, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.

SILVER LAKE—You've probably seen local artist Tuesday Bassen's naughty-cute pins and patches around town in shops like Myrtle and Shout and About, but this Saturday the self-proclaimed "Ugly Girl Gang" founder hits up Silver Lake's Los Angeles County Store for a trunk show stocked with her cheeky goods including prints, tees, and ceramics. Pop in from 12-5pm to grab some of the in-demand merch designed by the gal who's making weird look so cool.

ARTS DISTRICT—Artsy mag deVour is currently in production for their 9th issue, and this Saturday the gang invites you to be an active participant. From 7pm-12:30am, the magazine will host "Into the Dark: A New Age Market" at ArtShare LA (801 E 4th Place). This "gypsy bazaar" will feature live body painters, a spiritual medium and tarot reader, a henna artist, belly dancers, a live runway, spirits to sip on, and art and handmade goods for shopping. All of the above will be documented to feature in the upcoming issue. $10 presale tickets can be purchased here, or pay $15 at the door.
