Inside Kit and Ace's Dreamy Cashmere Pop-Up in DTLA

Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to Vox.com, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.

Back in June, we revealed that Vancouver's Kit and Ace was planning to open a DTLA pop-up ahead of its permanent locations in Pasadena, Venice, and El Segundo's The Point. The Arts District teaser opened a few weeks ago, and it's filled with all of founder JJ Wilson's (the son of Lululemon founder Chip Wilson) and his wife Shannon's game-changing essentials, from machine-washable cashmere to luxurious T-shirts.

"We are thrilled to be part of a neighborhood filled with so many energetic, dynamic and creative people and businesses," shop director Stephanie Katchmar explains. "The Arts District is one of LA's liveliest hubs—rich in both character and entrepreneurial spirit. The juxtaposition of old factories and warehouses against vibrant street art, hip galleries, great restaurants and stylish boutiques provides an inspired atmosphere that Kit and Ace is so excited to be part of."

Kit and Ace DTLA is open Monday through Wednesday by appointment only, and Thursday through Saturday from 10:30am to 5:30pm. Closed Sundays.
