From A.P.C.'s trio of LA boutiques to Hedi Slimane's never-ending Cali praise, it's clear the City of Angels is a perfect paradise for Parisians. (The adoration is mutual.) The latest French export to invade Los Angeles is designer Vanessa Seward, who is reportedly eyeing our city for her retail expansion.
As WWD notes, Seward—who's done design time at Chanel, YSL, and the legendary Loris Azzaro—plans on opening an LA boutique in July 2016. Although the designer debuted her first read-to-wear and accessories collections (which ranges from $280 for denim to $615 for a jacquard silk shirt to $720 for ankle booties) at Paris Fashion Week this year, LA scored a taste of Seward's Parisian-cool aesthetic in her capsule collabs with A.P.C.
No word yet on the exact coordinates or opening date; we wouldn't be surprised if Melrose Place, Silver Lake, or DTLA (where her aforementioned collaborator has already landed), are all likely contenders.
