Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to Vox.com, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.
If your weekend plans involve all-day shopping marathons, here's yet another epic block party to hit up. This Sunday, head west to Venice's 31st annual Abbot Kinney Festival, where tons of vendors, food trucks, kid-friendly activities, and more will dot the hot retail stretch.
Happening from 10am to 6pm from Main Street to Venice Boulevard, the free fest will feature over 300 designers, artists, vinyl vendors, and more local talents, plus five live music stages, three beer gardens, two kids stages, and plenty of dining options. That's not all: a host of stylish boutiques will be joining in on the action, including cool Oz-obsessed shop Aust (up to 70% off in-store and a sched of live performances) and Junk Food Clothing (select retro tees for $10).
Plan on drinking? For a limited time, Reserve is giving away free beer garden wristbands and VIP fast passes ($35 value) to 21+ attendees right here. Scope out the full list of vendors here and a map of the haps here.
As if the GQ-faved street's festivities weren't enough, surf-happy men's shop General Admission is also throwing its first Off Abbot Kinney Street Fair this Sunday. Going down at the boutique's parking lot (52 Brooks Avenue) from 12 to 6pm, participants include cool floral boutique/café Flower Boy Project, salon/shop Cabin West, Linus Bike, Lone Wolfs Objets d'Surf, and many others.
For food and bites, partygoers can expect House beer, healthy sips by Juice Served Here, grub from Sao Acai; check out more deets here.
