Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to Vox.com, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.
If you're looking to get your holiday shopping down way ahead of time, head to DTLA's The Reef next month. On Saturday and Sunday, October 10th and 11th, Artisanal LA is set to host its massive fall show, offering more than 150 edible and home good makers, artisans, food crafters, and chefs.
The event will also feature art installations, author book signings, panels, workshops, a garden classroom, a pop-up urban farm with baby goats and calves, a photobooth, and tons of food vendors. Workshops will include holiday card making with Lula Mae's Lula School, wreaths with Amelia Posada's Birch & Bone, macramé and weaving with Trimme Shop, and even a kids crafting area.
Check out the full vendor roster and programming here, and purchase $12 advance tickets here. $15 tickets will also be available at the door.
