No Pressure No Shame Singles Dinner in DTLA; Paint Night in Century City

We round up the week's coolest events so you don't have to.

Citizens of Culture

Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to Vox.com, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.

ARTS DISTRICT—After their first successful "No Pressure No Shame" social dating experiment a few months back, Citizens of Culture and I Love Creatives have yet again joined forces for the greater good of Los Angeles singles. This time, the cultural curators have coordinated a dinner at Daily Dose Cafe (1820 Industrial Street) this Tuesday from 8-10pm. Engage in a lively debate about "the rules" of dating and courtship and the ways of sparking and maintaining romance while you enjoy a lovely meal and drinks courtesy of ROK. Stop swiping left/right and go have a little face-to-face human interaction (a nice dinner doesn't hurt either). Buy your tickets here now to get them for $48, or snag last minute seats for $50 after today.

CENTURY CITY—Got the creative urge for an artistic, hands-on project this week? Westfield Century City (10250 Santa Monica Boulevard) has you covered Wednesday with their Paint Night, part of the shopping center's Drink Creatively series. For a $45 ticket fee (buy yours here), guests to the 7pm event will snack on tableside treats by Obica Mozzerella Bar in the dining terrace and take in a tutorial from artist Kim Carpluk to paint their own mini masterpiece. Sip and mingle with other crafty locals and take home a cute new creation.
