There's bad news and good news for design-obsessed bookworms bummed out over Hennessey + Ingalls's shuttered Hollywood shop. The art and architecture bookstore is relocating its remaining Santa Monica outpost to the DTLA Arts District, reveals Downtown News.
The stylish bookshop is headed to a 5,000-square-foot space at mixed-use development One Santa Fe's The Yards, the DTLA pub reports. Founded over 50 years ago, Hennessey + Ingalls will close SaMo when its Downtown store—fittingly located across the street from architecture school SCI-Arc—opens in January 2016.
