Yet another stylish Bay Area export is taking over LA. Filling the artsy-cool void left by Weltenbuerger is essential San Francisco boutique BellJar, which set up shop in the avant-garde haven's old two-story space in Los Feliz.
Shopkeep Sasha Darling has kept the same bohemian-modern vibes as her outpost in SF's Mission nabe, offering a mix of indie labels like Osei Duro, Uzi from Brooklyn, and Just Female alongside LA's own Objects Without Meaning, St. Roche, and Lykke Wullf. Also on the racks are vintage finds (like boho dresses and frilly Victorian tops) and pre-loved designer pieces by Isabel Marant and Dries Van Noten, jewelry by Dream Collective and Takara, and handmade home decor by BKB Ceramics, Mt. Washington Pottery, and other cool craftsfolk.
Dig it? The shop is hosting a grand opening bash Friday, September 25th from 6 to 9pm. Partygoers will enjoy music, drinks, and "a ceremonial blessing"; get on the list by emailing your deets to info@belljarsf.com.
