Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to Vox.com, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.

From nail wraps to sneakers to makeup to scents, it's clear that Angelenos are addicted to all things customizable. The latest DIY development to hit our city is Yoshirt, an Oakland-based app that can digitally print a design of your choice on T-shirts, leggings, and more.

Here's how it works: after downloading the free app here, upload your design (go wild with the app's offered stickers, buttons and more) and select your garment. Next securely purchase the item you just designed, and wait for an email from Yoshirt to confirm the order. After the company infuses your design into high-quality fabric using a special process called sublimation, your one-of-a-kind garment is shipped to your location in just a few days. Easy and addictive.

Watch Yoshirt's behind-the-scenes video here and check out their popular Instagram for some design inspo before making your first order (of many).
