Given that Coachella 2016 pre-sale passes are already sold out (seriously?), there's no better time than now to start planning next year's desert accommodations. Adding to Palm Springs's plentiful staycation options is the L'Horizon Resort and Spa, which recently scored a fashionable facelift.

LA celebrity interior designer Steve Hermann upgraded the 25-bungalow mid-century modern hotel (which once hosted Marilyn Monroe) with luxe touches like an infinity-edge pool, modern fire pits, marble baths, custom pine ceilings, vintage and high-end furniture, Le Labo toiletries, and more. On top of a gourmet resto helmed by Michelin-starred chef Giacomo Pettinari, the luxury property offers R&R treatments (massages, aromatherapy, facials, and a fresh juice bar) at its spa, personal fitness training, guided hiking trails, and more.
