Now that stars like Andreja Pejić, Laverne Cox, and Caitlyn Jenner have paved the way for the transgender community's exciting future in fashion, film, and beyond, one pioneering international modeling agency is coming to the states to oversee their opportunities.
Following being named the world's first agency to represent transgender models in 2014, Thailand-based Apple Model Management is opening the globe's first all-transgender agency right here in Los Angeles. The Advocate reports that the game-changing agency will be led Cecilio Asuncion, director of the award-winning documentary What's the T? which explores the lives of transgender women.
Apple Model Management LA currently has six models on its roster, and they're looking for more. Trans women who are five-foot-eight and up and trans men who are six feet and up can apply here; interested talents can also email stats and headshots directly to Asuncion at cecilio@applemodels.com.
