WEEPAH WAY—We love mixing cool, old pieces with fresh, contemporary ones, which is why this Saturday's Endless Summer Sale at Weepah Way (5151 York Boulevard) has got our attention. This vintage boutique always stays stocked with well-worn Levi's styles and breezy dresses, but for this 7-10pm event, they've added minimal, modern pieces by local line Echo + Air to the mix (we're feeling the bodysuits and bralettes) so shoppers can get the best of both worlds. Stop in for a chill evening filled with sweet markdowns, killer tunes on vinyl, wine, and snacks.
HISTORIC CORE—Let's face it; fine jewelry is expensive. But if there were a way to cut out the middle man, and therefore eliminate high markups, such a luxury would be oh-so-much-more accessible. And that's exactly what online retailer Vrai & Oro has done. The brand offers classic, wearable styles in high quality materials (14 karat rose gold, black and white diamonds for example) and purse-friendly prices. For the first time, shoppers can peruse these pieces IRL during a special pop-up this weekend at 204 1/2 W 6th Street. If you can't say no to Sprinkles cupcakes and mimosas, stop by Saturday from 11am-5pm where the crew will be ready to tempt you with both as you try on the collection's must-have styles.
VENICE—Static Swimwear's sexy suits make their way to West side this Saturday and Sunday as lingerie boutique Wylie Wilson (1301 Abbot Kinney Boulevard) hosts a pop-up that features the retailer as well as a curated selection of other beloved brands. From 11am-8pm each day, sip Zico Coconut Water and fresh-pressed juices from Clover while you shop Static's babely basics as well as beachwear and accessories by the likes of Skye & Staghorn, Baggu, and Stone Cold Fox.
