Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to Vox.com, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.

FAIRFAX—We know we're not the only ones whose #1 post-work ritual is unbuttoning those skinny jeans to get cozy. Since effortless clothing brand Splendid's main focus is comfort, they've created jeggings (jeans + leggings) that are so stretchy and soft you could nap in them, yet still look totally sleek and chic. This Saturday, the apparel company is holding an all-store event (all 7 non-outlet stores in California will be participating) that offers plenty of reasons to scope out their new style. We'll be heading to The Grove location (189 The Grove Drive) from 1-4pm for the launch, in which guests can grab snacks and sips, and take 20% off your purchase just for trying the jeggings on! But be forewarned, you won't wanna take them off.

MALIBU—Mega popular cycling workout SoulCycle's Malibu studio (3874 Cross Creek Road) is inviting its beachy neighbors by for a Block Party this Saturday. In addition to offering its regular class schedule (plus a bonus 4pm class by a special guest instructor), festivities including a braid bar from DryBar, juices from SunLife, food truck goodies, flash tattoos, and a live DJ will be offered to customers, family, friends, and members of the community. Never tried this cult favorite way of getting in shape? The crew will be handing out free card classes so you can see what all the hype is about.

MALIBU—We'll take practically any excuse to head into beautiful Malibu for the day, but when our favorite local tasting room joins forces with up-and-coming Los Angeles-based designers? Now that's pretty much an optimum sipping/shopping experience! This Saturday from 11am-6pm, Malibu Wines (31740 Mulholland Drive) hosts a pop-up shop that includes goods such as chic leather shoes by Arricci, ethical LA-made clothing by Linden, and handmade, one-of-a-kind pieces by Thyme Francis. Guests will be able to enjoy that Malibu breeze, grab a great class of wine, and support local talent.

BEVERLY HILLS—Luxe bag line Lauren Cecchi New York is heading for the West Coast and bringing a bevy of its cool clutches and structured handbags (among others) in tow for a trunk show at Bev Hill's stunning shoe boutique Palter DeLiso (9631 Brighton Way). View flirty styles from both brands this Saturday from 2-6pm as you indulge in complimentary bubbles and chat up designer Cecchi herself who will be on hand to talk about her latest collection.

DTLA—Ethical, animal-friendly label Vaute will be kicking off their Venice pop-up later this month but in anticipation of this exciting event, they've teamed up with PETA for panel discussion about vegan fashion and sustainability this Monday evening. Led by Vaute's founder Leanna Mai-ly Hilgart (with the company of some other vegan tastemakers), the talk will take place at downtown's Pyo Gallery LA (1100 Hope Street #105) at 6:30pm and while the crowd is expected to be mostly comprised of students from nearby FIDM, it is totally free and open to the public. Attendees can also sample vegan bites and enter to win a $250 towards merchandise from the upcoming shop.
