Oakland's Esqueleto Brings Eclectic Gems and Boho Decor to Echo Park

There's something about Sunset Boulevard that makes it a breeding ground for capsules of coolness. (Maybe its lengthy span across LA or those many hipster 'hoods?) There's still much to be explored in Echo Park's stretch, where Oakland-bred boutique Esqueleto has settled in quite nicely for its SoCal debut.

Jewelry designer and shop owner Lauren Wolf tells the LA Times that she "didn't want to have a store that was just about my work," so shoppers will find merch from LA ceramist Heather Levine and folklore-inspired artist Kreh Mellick alongside globally-sourced geodes, handwoven textiles, and other boho home goods. In addition to Wolf's edgy-luxe accoutrements, the shop's blog notes that LA talents like Kaylin Hertel, Jovana Djuric, Peter St. Lawrence, Meagan Donegan, and Rachel Steiner are also showcased in the space.

The Bay Area essential shop's LA outpost is located near Dodger Stadium by vintage haven Collection and local label Kucoon's shop; explore the minimalist-minded space Tuesday through Saturday from 11am to 7pm.
