Although it feels kind of crazy to start thinking about Halloween already, it'll be here faster than you think. If you're determined to make this the year that you finally up your costume game, allow the creative spirits of this past weekend's Labyrinth of Jareth Masquerade Ball in LA serve as your ultimate inspiration.

If you're new to the Masquerade Ball, it's an annual event based on "Venetian tradition, Celtic faerie and goblin lore, and stories of fantasy and wonder" attended and produced by today's most passionate fantasy artists, costumers, special effects artists, and surrealistic-fantasy enthusiasts. This year's party was located at DTLA's Millennium Biltmore Hotel, providing a safe place for a cosplay-loving community that would much rather morph into a unicorn, wizard, or furry than slip into a boring bandage dress for a night out on the town. Enjoy.
