Rebecca Minkoff's Largest Store Ever Lands On Melrose In Two Weeks

Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to Vox.com, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.

Last week, we broke the exciting news that Rebecca Minkoff is finally taking over Ed Hardy General Store's old space at 8335 Melrose Avenue this month. As we approach the official opening on Thursday, August 27th, more details are being released about the LA flagship, which will span a generous 4,600 square feet.

According to WWD, the space will feature the Cali-raised designer's dressing room technology ("dressing room mirrors become touch screens and information on looks and sizing can be saved for later use"), a dedicated athleisure space, gallery and the first Uri Minkoff storefront ("totaling about 300 square feet, with its own entrance off Melrose Avenue along with a connecting door to the Rebecca Minkoff space").

If that's not enough, there will also be a 750-square-foot Minkoff Projects hub, dedicated to rotating art, music, and technology. Can't wait.
