Now that getting a man-icure is NBD, here's yet another pampering and retail therapy spot for well-kempt gents in LA. Soft open as of late spring, Canadian retailer MenEssentials is keeping Stateside men clean and cut at its first LA grooming boutique in Glendale.
Described by superfans as a "male Sephora," the lifestyle shop offers a range of luxe apothecary products, fragrance, and accessories, like gold razors by Merkur, facial hair conditioners by Northern Beard Company, Penhaligon's moustache wax, free-range duck fat shaving soap by Bufflehead, pomade by Layrite, and much more. Dapper dudes can also hit up the in-store barbershop, which offers hot towel shaves and beard trims every Saturday and free safety and straight razor classes once a month.
Dig it? The boutique's throwing a fancy launch ribbon cutting party next Thursday, August 20th. Swing by from 4 to 7pm for $15 shaves (proceeds benefit Glendale Salvation Army), gratis refreshments, discounts, and the chance to win a $100 gift card; plus, score 10% off your purchase with a canned food donation during the entire month of August. Get your name on the list by RSVPing to (818) 240-7870 or emailing your deets to asanchez@glendalechamber.com.
MenEssentials is open Monday through Wednesday from 10am to 7pm, Thursday and Friday from 10am to 8pm, Saturday from 10am to 6pm, and Sunday from 12pm to 5pm.
