Well, this just sucks. Although sustainable brand Alternative is celebrating its 20th anniversary this year, sadly, it won't be in the City of Angels. The apparel company has shuttered its cool Downtown design studios, which we were lucky enough to explore a few months back.
In a statement, the brand reveals that it will "centralize operations in Atlanta where the brand was born and has maintained a large facility since 1995." In addition, the eco-friendly label will "consolidate key positions from its outposts in Los Angeles and New York over the course of 2015," bringing Alternative's total head count to just over 100 employees.
