Save for a 50-year break after WWII, "Historically correct" jeanswear brand The Stronghold has been crafting superior selvedge denim in LA since 1895. Its pup-friendly Venice boutique has dressed quality-obsessed gents for the last 10 years, and there's word that the shop may house a new American-bred tenant.
Apparel News notes that The Stronghold plans on relocating its Abbot Kinney flagship, and word is that Detroit-based label Shinola—which opened last fall in Silver Lake—is expected to take over the space. Although the design company has yet to confirm the news, we spotted this job listing for a store manager in Venice on Shinola's site. Stay tuned for more!
