Erewhon Venice Will Feature Bike Racks, Local Art, and More

Vegan Scraps

Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to Vox.com, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.

Following our exclusive reveal that Erewhon is set to open in Venice, the wildly popular natural foods market has officially confirmed the news—and they're spilling additional details. We're told that the store will be located at 585 Venice Boulevard—a huge space formerly occupied by Quiksilver's 585 Boardriders shop—and the market will be a whopping 10,400 square feet. Scott Morris Architects will lead its design, which will also feature art and murals by Venice talent.

In addition to hosting a full-service tonic bar and an organic deli/cafe serving breakfast, lunch, and dinner, this location will also be home to Erewhon's first-ever wood-burning stove, allowing shoppers to enjoy smoked organic meats on the spot.

Looking for holistic health advice? The nutrition department will include a naturopathic doctor. Cycling through? Park your bike at one of the many installed Nike bike racks.

Erewhon Venice is set to open late fall 2015, and we can't freakin' wait.
