A Minimalist-Bohemian Home Goods and Decor Shop Is Coming to Culver City

Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to Vox.com, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.

LA interior design aficionados with minimalist modern-meets-mystic hippie tendencies will soon have a new mecca for home decor. Next week, Studio by Dark arrives at Culver City Arts District's Washington Boulevard, adding to the low-key stretch's indie shopping options.

Founded by local interior designer Vee Ravana, the 700-square-foot space will house a retail space and a creative design studio specializing in "holistic methodology to intentional interiors." The boutique's merch will reflect a similar vibe, offering lighting and accessories from Denmark, exclusive crystal- and oil-infused candles by Ashen, pottery by local ceramicists Ben Medansky and Eunbi Cho, and textiles, art, and rugs by other local talents.

The store's concept is inspired by "the energy flow in our personal spaces and the different contrasts we see in nature and energy as well," Ravana tells us. "Everything is very intentional and has almost a spiritual element to it."

It's slated to open Saturday, August 8th; stay tuned for opening day party deets.
