North Hollywood Scores Pure Barre's Ballet-Inspired Workouts This Week

Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to Vox.com, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.

Now that Pure Barre is sculpting Downtowners, the Racked Fit Club-faved studio is raising the barre (sorry) for Valley fitness fiends. The ballet-inspired workout chain is bringing its 55-minute lifting and toning seshes to North Hollywood's Arts District this Friday, July 31st, making it PB's second SFV outpost.

In addition to offering the PB's signature head-to-toe workouts, the 1,250-square-foot space features a custom-built reclaimed wood and steel front desk, a retail wall featuring activewear from Splits 59, Alo Yoga, Barresocks, and Pure Barre, and Penta water. If you've yet to try the sweat sanctuary's bikini body-making classes—which feature "tiny isometric movements" that target arms, hips, thighs, abs, and tushes—the NoHo studio is offering a pre-opening special of unlimited classes for five weeks ($100); score it here and scope out the class sched here.
