If you're a fan of both wellness and well-dressed kids, pay a visit to Malibu Village this summer. For the next six months (and possibly longer), eco-friendly children's apparel company Malu Organic is teaming up with family-friendly organic aromatherapy line Scents of Awe to host a unique pop-up shop inside the popular Westside shopping center.
Malu Organic was founded by Malibu's own Mali and Kalen Allmandinger and is inspired by Malibu's beachy lifestyle. The brand uses super-soft, fair-trade organic cotton and hemp fabrics to produce stylish pieces for both girls and boys. Five percent of every Malu Organic purchase is donated to Every Mother Counts, a non-profit dedicated to ensuring a safe pregnancy and childbirth for every mother.
As for Scents of Awe, founder Paula Ferraro created the essential oils-driven line when she was pregnant with her daughter. Products range from unisex deodorant to a scar healing cream to infant massage oil.
The space also features a collection of artisan-made products, include adorable baby stools by by Swellfella CDPS and rad kaleidoscope eyewear by Future Eyes. Stop by the Malu Organic x Scents of Awe pop-up Wednesday through Sunday from 10am to 6pm. For families, join local authors and artists at the shop's children's storytime every Friday at 11am.
