Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to Vox.com, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.
DTLA—Kicking off their summer-long endeavor at the Ace Hotel (929 S Broadway), LA-based indie record label Innovative Leisure (represented artists include local favorite Nick Waterhouse) offers "Lunch Beers" Friday afternoon. Starting at 2pm in the hotel's Upstairs lounge, the gang from IL and friends will take turns spinning a wide variety of tunes on vinyl while you enjoy a cold brew (or fancy specialty cocktail...your call) and chill vibes. There's no cover charge to attend the event, which is set to take place first Friday of each month through the season.
GLENDALE—After your firework-filled (and likely BBQ and beer-filled) 4th, recharge and rejuvenate Sunday morning with the Americana's (889 Americana Way) weekly yoga sessions on The Green. Sponsored by Lululemon Athletica, this free event will move you through a series of postures to get both your mind and body balanced. The hour-long class begins at 9:30am and is open to all levels.
