Stance has just scored its employee of a lifetime. WWD reports that the San Clemente-based sock company has just secured a three-year deal with Rihanna, naming her contributing creative director.

The inventive pop star's new gig will have her leading campaigns and designing socks, with the first 18-piece collection hitting stores this fall. To hold fans over, Stance has just released two Rihanna-designed styles on its site today—a bold newsprint sock called "Murder Rih Wrote" that comes in crew ($30) and over-the-knee ($26) cuts—both of which are limited edition.

"There are very few women in fashion whose personal style can go from street to couture in a blink," Stance SVP Candy Harris tells us the fashion trade pub. "She does it with such credibility and authenticity. It makes her an original." That's for damn sure.
