Lululemon Competitor Yogasmoga to Open Five Cali Shops This Year, Starting With Beverly Hills

As demonstrated by the hype surrounding that upcoming Wanderlust Hollywood opening, yoga is having a huge moment in LA right now. (It could be that people are looking to get back to basics after being bombarded with zany new workout options.) Taking advantage of the trend is Yogasmoga, a New York-based athletic apparel company that crafts all its made-in-America products with proprietary fabrics created with eco-conscious dyes. Following its existing Brentwood location, Yogasmoga is looking to challenge Lululemon with a huge retail expansion across California.

Yogasmoga Beverly Hills (9458 Dayton Way) is set to open this Thursday, July 16th and will feature Yogasmoga Next Door, a dedicated community space in partnership with local juice, coffee and tea merchants that will offer customers a range of yoga classes. After BH, Yogasmoga is heading to San Francisco to open a spot at 66 Kearny Street on August 25th. Yogasmoga Fashion Island will come next, located at 1119 Newport Centre Drive and opening early September. Then we'll have Yogasmoga Malibu Country Mart at 3900 Cross Creek Road, opening on September 15th. Finally, early October will mark the final installment of Yogasmoga's Cali takeover at 7863 Girard Avenue in La Jolla. Whew.
