LACAUSA Brings Its Cali-Cool Basics to Sunset Junction

Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to Vox.com, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.

Recently we gave you the inside scoop on the opening of LA label LACAUSA's first ever brick-and-mortar. As of this Wednesday the shop, located in Silver Lake's prime Sunset Junction area, is officially open for business. Designer Rebecca Grenell didn't have to look far for the perfect storefront to house her luxe-yet-breezy basics. The address previously home to brother Josh's line Hero Crane. The revamped space offers a sleek, minimal shopping environment perfectly curated with her resort-ready garments mingling with other clothing labels, accessories, and wares by a few of her friends (a stylish roster) that share her trademark edge.

Along with locally-made pieces like her signature sheer "Dad" tanks (inspired by the way the designer used to cut low arm holes in her dad's hand-me-down tees), easy and elegant jumpsuits, and what we're calling the sexiest muumuu we've ever seen, you can also currently shop Vere Verto's bags, cool custom-made slides by Chicago's Solid State Goods (we covet!), jewelry and fragrance by Mondo Mondo, hip hats by Janessa Leone, ceramics from Fruitmilk, and of course select one-of-a-kind pieces by Hero Crane to pay homage.

LACAUSA is open Monday through Sunday from 11am to 7pm
