Feline friends like Lil Bub are getting mega famous with massive followings on social media, cat videos and memes are going viral on the daily, and even celebs like Taylor Swift are showing the love with kitty-themed apparel and accessories. That being said, it was only a matter of time before CatCon came to fruition.
For its first year, the expo and symposium drew an impressive gathering of gaga-for-cats folks with top notch meet-and-greets (the aforementioned Lil Bub, actress Mayim Bialik, actor Jack McBrayer), adoptions courtesy of Best Friends Animal Society, informative seminars (sample: "You Can Be a Cat Guy and Still Be Cool" with Catster editor Keith Bowers), and nearly 100 vendors offering everything cat-lovers and their fur babies could ever need—and then some.
