Earlier this month, we revealed that Wildfox was set to open its second standalone boutique at Malibu Country Mart. Design-wise, the playful LA label promised that the new store would share its Sunset flagship's fantastical vibe, but with a coastal twist. Now that the quaint escape is officially open, we paid a visit to see what Wildfox's Westside interpretation of fashion enchantment really looks like.
Filled with a romantic color palette of pastel pink, blush, and peach interiors anchored by dazzling antique chandeliers, Wildfox Malibu is a true extension of the brand's original retail vision. Its salute to the beachy neighborhood can be found in its merchandise, which offers a strong focus on swim and sun styles, with a mix of well-ventilated White label, Intimates, and Kids exclusives.
On the subject of expansion, CEO Jimmy Sommers exclusively tells us that the next retail store is planned for Miami, then New York City. (There's no expected opening date as of now, but we'll keep an eye on it.) Also, the Desert Hills outlet pop-up is doing so well that they're actually looking for a permanent outlet-type space. (!)
Wildfox Malibu is open Monday through Saturday from 11am to 6pm, and Sunday from 11am to 5pm.
