ARTS DISTRICT—It seems like DTLA's Arts District is continuously giving us reasons to snack, sip, shop, and socialize in the neighborhood, and we're not complaining! Adding to the ever-growing list of cool offerings in the area is the Arts District Co-Op (453 Colyton Street), a conceptual retail space filled with varying indie designers and vendors an an open market setting. This Tuesday, get to know this new addition when the space hosts a Merchant Mixer from 6-9pm. Check out their latest batch of wares while you enjoy bites and bevvies. SANTA MONICA—Singer Kelela has already won praise from fellow mononymous musical powerhouses Solange and Bjork. Now Madewell has tapped the progressive R&B artist to be one of the fresh faces in their "Madewell Sessions" series where the brand partners with Spotify to bring up-and-coming musicians to select shops for an evening featuring great fitting denim and rad new music. This Wednesday at Madewell's SaMo location (1349 Third Street Promenade), get to know the it-girl when she stops by for a performance at 7pm.
