SILVER LAKE—Gogosha has been supplying Los Angeles with the coolest eyewear styles since opening their original Silver Lake location (3208 1/2 Sunset Boulevard) in 2008. Just added to their existing inventory of must-have makers including Garrett Leight, Mykita, and Anne et Valentin, is handmade-in-France brand Ahlem. We're not sure what aspect of the collection we love more: that frames are made from vintage acetate or that each style is named for a neighborhood in Paris. J'adore. Get to know the brand this Friday when the SL location offers custom styling sessions per appointment (which can be made by emailing AHLEM@gogosha.com) or drop in during their 4-8pm champagne reception and meet designer Ahlem Manai-Platt. Their WeHo location (8238 W 3rd Street) will do the same Saturday between 4-8pm. Featured style Montorgueil will be 20% off (in all colors) through the end of June and any Ahlem purchase during that time frame will earn patrons a 20% discount on prescription lenses.

SANTA MONICA—In addition to the grand opening events we filled you in on yesterday, Uniqlo just added another day of festivities to the roster. This Thursday, the latest location in Santa Monica Place (395 Santa Monica Place) will host a pre-opening bash (the official store opening is Friday) from 6-8pm that will have guests enjoying a Japanese style photo booth, a live DJ, drinks and light snacks, prize giveaways (including Fujimax Instax cameras, tickets to the Queen Mary's 4th of July dinner, and a $50 gift card from Macerich—the company responsible for the shopping center), and a special gift from the Japanese clothing retailer.
