Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to Vox.com, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.
Despite the fact that we've previously outlined one kind of Perfect Saturday you could have in cozy retail haven Larchmont Village, we love this locale so much, there are practically endless options for spending your day (and paycheck—gulp!). So this time around, we're covering a distinctly different crop of cute destinations on the bustling blocks of Larchmont Boulevard between Rosewood Avenue and West 1st Street.
Check out our picks to caffeinate like the coffee snobs, score beauty booty, have a celeb-approved sweat session (without moving a muscle!), and shop for streetwise footgear this Saturday.
It's hard to say what our favorite thing about Go Get Em Tiger (230 N Larchmont Boulevard) is. The minimal design and floating astronaut painting on the wall behind the coffee bar? The stunning ceramic mugs by Ben Medansky filled with coffee from a curated bean selection? The housemade almond-macadamia milk for espresso drinks? THAT VEGAN STRAWBERRY MUFFIN??? The answer is a definitive yes! yes! yes! yessss! Stopping here first is a no-brainer to kick your Saturday into gear—just make sure not to over-indulge and keep the water coming post-coffee if you're planning on including the third stop featured here (you'll see what we mean below).
If the clean, simple design of Malin + Goetz's packaging was any indication, their storefront in this neighborhood (238 N Larchmont Boulevard) gives major contemporary art museum vibes. Aesthetics aside, this modern apothecary's true virtue is its breadth of plant-based products. Our skin practically begs for their best-selling Vitamin B5 body lotion (with a bright bergamot scent) and the Sage Styling Cream gives our hair a soft, all-day hold. While you're here, peruse the rainbow assortment of irresistible soy/vegetable/beeswax candles so your digs can be as fragrant as your bod.
Reality show junkies (raises hand) may have seen the gals from Vanderpump Rules and beauty treatment-loving sisters Kourtney and Khloe Kardashian partaking in far infared treatments at Shape House (434 N Larchmont Blvd). This so-called urban sweat lodge promises to boost your metabolism, burn calories, release toxins, and give a healthy glow with a 55 minute sweat fest that takes place while you relax, catch up on some TV, and drink all the alkaline water you wish (sweating=dehydration. Hence why we suggested taking it easy on the coffee and supplementing with lots of h2o). Add on a lymphatic treatment for an additional 55 minutes to aid in cellulite reduction (YES!), improve immunity and digestion, and help to give you a better night's sleep.

Now it's time to be sweet to those feet, and we're not talking about a pedi (although our beloved Bellacures is nearby...). Kicks Sole Provider (141 N Larchmont Boulevard) stays stocked with the freshest footwear including SoCal classic Vans, Nike's latest styles, and cool, colorful People's Footwear sneaks. Be sure to see what's cooking at Kicks' neighboring space—which recently hosted pop-ups by Converse and Herschel Supply—before heading out.
