Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to Vox.com, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.

Marking its 66th store in 164 years, NY-based purveyor of Old World-inspired natural skin and hair care products Kiehl's Since 1851 is set to open at the renewed, improved, and Uniqlo-approved Los Cerritos Center.

Welcoming shoppers on Level 1 starting on Tuesday, June 30th, the new store's main draw is its external artwork: a mural created by a street art star Saner. This will be the very first time that an artist’s mural has framed one of Kiehl’s stores. "The piece takes up a 55' long, 18' high wall on the Kiehl’s stores front exterior," the retailer tells us. About his piece, Saner said, "The concept takes the herbology tradition that is handed down from generation to generation, and balances that with creating something new, with respect for nature and the universe." Deep.

Hit up the grand opening on June 30th for the official unveiling; the first 50 customers in line at 1pm will receive "mystery gift cards worth up to $500," and all customers will score a travel-sized Ultra Facial Cream with any purchase. Guests will also be treated to complimentary 20-minute seated facials, plus refreshments.
