Essential Home Goods Store deKor Is Moving Into a Big, Better Space

Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to Vox.com, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.

After years of holding it down in a quaint Echo Park space, Swedish interior designer Isabelle Dahlin is ready to take her must-stop home decor shop to the next level. On Wednesday, June 17th, deKor is set to relocate to a 2,200-square-foot showroom at 4222 Santa Monica Boulevard, just a stone's throw away from Silver Lake's Sunset Junction.

"We will now be open to the trade and public seven days a week with an even bigger selection of vintage rugs, Danish and mid-century furniture, lighting, art, and so much more," deKor tells us.

To toast the big move, the retailer is set to host a huge opening bash on Saturday June 20th from 4 to 8pm. Chef Brandon Boudet will be serving hors d'oeuvres, and beer and wine will be served.
