A second Aussie invasion is hitting Downtown. Joining Oz-bred skincare brand Aesop is BNKR (pronounced "bunker"), which has scored some seriously prime property at 9th and Broadway for its first-ever Stateside store. WWD notes that the retailer's taking over the 6,800-square-foot ground floor at the historic Blackstone Building, just a stroll away from stylish Ace Hotel, Acne, and soon-to-open (any day now!) A.P.C.
The retailer revealed to California Apparel News that the massive boutique will debut "in the next coming months." Its Adelaide and online shops carry cult-cool Aussie brands like Keepsake, Cameo, The Fifth, Finders Keepers, and Quay Eyewear, so expect the DTLA space to reflect the same inventory.
