Why You Need This New LA Label's Under-$100 Swimwear Now

Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to Vox.com, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.

Alright, we get it already: summer is nigh, there are pool parties to be had, and there's skin to be bared. If your seasonal prep has left you little time to do that whole swimwear scavenger hunt and you prefer clickable retail therapy instead, meet LA-based, online-only brand Bikyni.

Founded by a former Reformation COO, the label features minimalist mix-and-match separates and one-pieces that'll ring in at just under $100. (We likey.) In addition to offering a variety of figure-flattering silhouettes, each piece is crafted from Italian fabrics and designed and produced entirely in Cali.

While The Triangle top and The String bottom are two pretty reliable options, we'll be opting for a more athletic-inspired vibe and combining the The Crop, which features a criss-cross back, and The Hipster, because we're into that butt coverage.
