This July, Verizon Wireless is set to unveil its first Destination store on the West Coast. Located inside the historic Woolworth Building at 1322 3rd Street Promenade #2, the 7,699-square-foot space boasts energy efficient fixtures and environmentally friendly components. That's great and all, but let's talk about the shop's "fun zones".
The company tells us that there will be two zones for customers to enjoy: 1) the Customize It zone where "your custom phone case is baked on site and delivered through a curved two-story pneumatic tube," and 2) the NFL Zone from Super Bowl XLVIII which "lets you become a NFL player and virtually catch and run back a kick-off." There will also be an interactive soccer experience, where "customers can practice their shots and synch their smartphone to get instant feedback on MPH, spin and estimated distance." Welcome to the future.
The Verizon Wireless Destination Store will be open daily from 10am to 9pm.
