Following wildly successful shows last year and the year before that, home decor haven Modernica is set to host its third-annual Downtown Modernism market on Sunday, May 31st. Taking place at Modernica's DTLA factory from 8am to 2pm, the event will feature five acres' worth of mid-century modern dealers hosting original furniture, lighting, and decor designed by the likes of Hans Wegner, Eero Saarinen, Charles and Ray Eames, and Harry Bertoia.
Besides scoring some serious treasures for your abode (we suggest bringing rolling through in a spacious vehicle to transport your new goods), the one-day-only market will have multiple food vendors, gourmet coffee, and even a pet adoption booth, courtesy of Downtown Dog Rescue. "To add to the fun, Modernica will be holding an Instagram contest for market goers," the retailer tells us. "Attendees can upload a photo of their favorite product find to Instagram with hashtag #downtownmodernism to enter."
Buy tickets (adults are $5; kids under 12 are free) at the door. On-site parking is free!
